Fall's Freshest Cocktail by Peach Street Distillers
In a shaker, muddle 1/4 of an apple, 4 sage leaves, and a few dashes of apple bitters. Add ½ oz. fresh lemon juice, ½ oz. cardamom simple syrup (recipe below), and 2 oz. Colorado Straight Bourbon. Shake until frothy, and strain into a snifter over a giant ice rock. Add a splash of Rocky Mountain Ginger Beer. Garnish with an apple slice, sage leaf, and lemon twist.
Cardamom Simple Syrup
Bring 1 c. brown sugar, 1 c. water, and 6 cracked cardamom pods to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Fine-strain and refrigerate.
