Gear Hub: PARA’KITO Mosquito Repellent Wristband

I’ve tried my fair share of natural bug sprays and while I’ve found some that are good, I can confirm the PARA’KITO mosquito protection bracelets are great. It provides the ultimate protection in a stylish way.

PARA’KITO offers freedom in the outdoors in an eco-friendly manner. Their blend is composed of essential oils and releases slowly and effectively through the comfortable neoprene wristband. The blend works to mask your scent so mosquitos have a hard time locating you. I actually enjoy the smell of it and appreciate how it instantly forms a barrier between myself and any unwanted critter.

Each bracelet provides 15 days of constant protection. The bands are waterproof, adjustable and can be worn on the wrist, ankle or attached to a backpack.

I’ve tested the band on trailheads in Colorado, but found the ultimate test to be when I wore the bracelet on a humid evening walk in the Chicago suburbs while visiting family. Known to me as mosquito central, I was pleasantly surprised to find a significant decrease in mosquito bites compared to what I’m used to during Illinois summers.

I’m looking forward to refilling my band and taking it on a woodsy backpacking adventure later this summer.
