2026 is a milestone year — Colorado celebrates its 150th anniversary, and the nation marks 250 years of independence. Join Colorado Mesa University (CMU) for a red, white and blue celebration on Colorado Day, August 1, unveiling a 150-foot-tall flagpole, raising the American flag and raising a 1,876-square-foot Colorado flag honoring the state’s founding year. Van Winkle Ranch hot dogs will be served following the ceremony. The event is presented by the Davis Family and Timberline Bank.
