Voices Of Western Colorado On REJOICE

REJOICE

Verb: Feel or show great joy or delight.

SCOTTY STOUGHTON — Founder of Bonfire Entertainment

“Joy, it’s what I’ve been called to create and develop for humanity. The core foundation of Bonfire Entertainment and our events, WinterWonderGrass, Renewal, Baja and RiverWonderGrass, is to hold space for fellow humans to rejoice. The simple act of acknowledging each other, honoring Mother Nature and defining our collective mission creates a higher frequency. Nothing is more important to me and our team than to honor and welcome the thrill-seeking music fan. To deliver to them what they deserve, see them, know them and love them. Lift your head, and open your heart. Rejoice.”

MSHANNON CASSON — Chief Possibility Officer of The Desert Dose

“I find profound joy in planting seeds of possibility, sharing the gift of believing in yourself and helping girls and women pedal into their potential. I rejoice in the special bond that forms on our desert trails when women invest in themselves, encourage each other to step out of their comfort zones and learn to ride a section of trail they thought was unrideable. My ethos lies in connecting women and reframing limiting beliefs to spark moments of laughter and freedom. Witnessing the spark in their eyes, seeing that huge confident smile and being part of their journey is where I rejoice.”

NICKOLAS PAULLUS — Local Writer

“Rejoice is at its heart a celebration of the other. We ‘rejoice IN’ the world around us. Often, happiness is expected to be rooted in the self, but to rejoice is to find it elsewhere. Joy becomes a gift. The ‘re’ suggests joy visits us again and again. It’s cyclical; old loves come back around. The first snow, the last peach, the friend’s homecoming, the mushrooms, the monsoon, holy days and spiced cider. Happiness comes full circle to find us. So, when we rejoice, we don’t make joy so much as it makes us.”
