How I Spent a Fall Day in My Danner Eastwood Chelsea Boots
It was a crisp fall Friday morning in late October in Vail, Colorado. The Aspens were golden, and the intermittent breezes wafted the scent of pine throughout the Vail Valley. I knew the day ahead was filled with outfit changes, lots of steps and time spent socially and in solitude. Without a doubt, the shoe that I wanted to help carry me through the day was Danner’s new Eastwood Chelsea boot.
I slipped on my new favorite black leather boot with the pull tab, located on the heel. Although the tab is not a loop, I still managed to put the shoe on with ease. Paired with a homemade to-go cappuccino and a yoga-ready outfit — leggings, sports bra and a light jacket — I made my way to class at Revolution Power Yoga in Avon. The heel tab was yet again convenient for me to take my boots on and off after practice.
After class and a shower, I got ready for the rest of my day. I styled my boots with blue barrel jeans and a chunky oatmeal colored cardigan. It was here that I discovered the high-quality technology of the boot. My feet tend to be sensitive after yoga, as I just strengthened and stretched them, and I could feel the Chelsea boot return much-needed energy to my feet. The boot was specifically built around the anatomy of the female foot, and this became evident with every step.
I walked into the Hygge Life café in Eagle-Vail to interview a source for an article over a fresh coffee. The stylish shoe gave me an extra shot of excitement. I like how I, and others, can see the chunky sole of the shoe when I am sitting or standing. The design adds texture and class and yet looks adventure-ready.
Following the interview, the boots and I made our way to the Jaunt Media Collective office in West Vail. Danner made a boot where I did not want to take them off to sit down and work on my computer. These boots are perfect to take you from cool to warm weather. As I exited a breezy outside and entered a cozy room-temperature office, my feet remained comfortable throughout my work time.
A long stint of mentally stimulation calls for some physical stimulation. It was time for a pre-dinner outdoor walk. Even though it began to drizzle as I strolled through the neighborhood, the puddles and sprinkles were no match for this pair of 100% waterproof boots. The GORE-TEX liners keep water out while allowing sweat and moisture to escape. The Pondo outsole feature offers support and superior grip throughout the duration of the step, making a walk in this shoe buoyant and pleasant.
By the end of the day, my Eastwood Chelseas had carried me seamlessly from yoga to meetings to evening strolls — proving they’re as dependable and stylish as they are comfortable.
